Dr. Peter S. Eppinger

Short CV

Master of Science, studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich (M.Sc. in Economics) and previously at the University of Tübingen (B.Sc. in International Economics). From 2012 to 2014 he worked as a research assistant at the IAW.

Peter Eppinger is an Academic Counsellor at the University of Tübingen, where he received his PhD in Economics in 2018. His dissertation was honoured with the Germany-wide Research Prize Social Market Economy (1st prize) of the Roman Herzog Institute and received the dissertation prize of the RWT Group at the University of Tübingen. His research focuses on international trade and multinational companies.

From 2019-2023, he worked with the IAW team in the project ‘Methodological and Analytical Strengthening in Current Issues of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Policy’ on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection.

His research findings have been published in the Journal of International Economics, Economics Letters and The World Economy.

Peter Eppinger holds an Add-on Fellowship in Interdisciplinary Economics from the Joachim Herz Foundation and is a member of the Verein für Socialpolitik. He has been a Research Fellow at the IAW since March 2020.
